Brought to you by the Tony Micelli Liberation Front

I know what you're thinking: You? Mocking a potential photographic component? Has the world gone mad?

Now, I've seen plenty of excessively expensive camera equipment. Underwater housings that will see one, maybe two uses in my lifetime. Lenses capable of being easily mistaken for small anti-aircraft artillery. Or cameras that are about as discrete as an elephant riding a unicycle on the Staten Island Ferry.

And all those items, while excessively expensive, I could at least understand "Why." Either they enable a type of photography that would otherwise be impossible, or there is a highly specialized (and lucrative) field of photography that requires and/or justifies the cost of such equipment.

Then there's this item from Skymall... that puts your camera on a stick. It enables you to have lots of pictures of yourself holding a fucking stick.

Can you imagine your family vacation album? No? Let me give you a preview using these sketches crudely drawn with my trackpad:

You, with your stupid stick, in front of the Eiffel tower.

You, with your stupid stick, in front of the Pyramids.

You, with your stupid stick, fleeing from the Death Star.

Get the picture?

Um, you seem to have left out some important information. Such as and like the price. Work on that.
